PTE is a computer-based English language proficiency test that assesses a candidate’s English language proficiency for academic or immigration purposes. The test assesses non-native English speakers’ Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening abilities. Pearson PTE is recognized by over 3000+ universities, institutions, and governments all around the world.

PTE Academic is intended for non-native English speakers who wish to study in another country.  PTE result is graded from 10 to 90, with 90 being the highest possible score. Pearson PTE exam delivers results within 5 days of taking the test and the scorecard is valid for 2 years. The total test duration is 2 hours, it is a single-sitting test. There are approximately 400+ PTE test centers located across 117 countries.

PTE Speaking and Writing

PTE Speaking and Writing section starts with a personal introduction that requires the candidate to speak about their prompt. This is one of the PTE tools required to send to the universities/colleges to have better knowledge about the candidate. This section of  PTE Speaking is split into various small segments and this section is 54-67 minutes long. Remember, this task is not scored. The PTE test format is stated below:

PTE Reading

PTE Listening

The PTE listening test comprises audio/video clips that are played only once. The PTE test format of the listening section is as follows:

The candidates will receive their PTE VUE results within 5 days of the test taken. They will be notified through their official PTE account about their Pearson PTE result.
