New Zealand Visa copy

Starting October 1, 2024, Immigration New Zealand (INZ) will significantly increase visa application fees. This change means that those applying for visas will pay more to cover the costs of processing and the benefits of immigration services.

Here’s what you need to know:

For instance, Fee-paying student visa will see a rise from $375 to $750 which is a 100% increase, Meanwhile a post-study work visa application will cost $1,670 (plus $970).

These increases are part of INZ’s effort to make sure that those who benefit from the immigration system help cover its costs. While the fees are going up, processing times for visas will stay the same. INZ is also working on improving online services and making the visa process more efficient.

Also, there will be no changes to fees for Recognised Seasonal Employer visas, Pacific Access Category, Samoan Quota visas, or NZeTA. These adjustments are expected to save taxpayers NZD 563 million over the next four years. For more details on the new fees, visit the INZ website.
